Day 2: Las Vegas – Grand Canyon

A group of people standing on an observation deck at the edge of the Grand Canyon, surrounded by lush green bushes and trees. The vast, colorful canyon stretches out in the background under a partly cloudy sky, showcasing layers of red and orange rock formations.

We'll depart Las Vegas early this morning and make our way to Kingman, one of Arizona’s hidden treasures. Once in Kingman, we'll join Route 66 and travel along the longest stretch that remains of this historic route to Seligman. Evidence of the old road can be seen all along Seligman’s main street where motels, cafés and numerous gift shops beg to be explored. We'll continue to our final destination, Grand Canyon National Park, a natural wonder that has to be seen to be believed. We suggest using our free time to discover the distinct South Rim. This tour includes several man-made attractions on the way to/through six wondrous national parks. The parks themselves are amazing and awe-inspiring. Our tour guide was very enthusiastic and thorough with his knowledge of the geology we were seeing. I would definitely recommend this tour company for their economical and well organized tours. I have never been on a bus tour before, but this experience has sold me on the concept and I will be looking for more like experiences.

This tour provided exceptional opportunities to see and experience some of the most unusual and outstanding locations in the southwest. The accommodations (i.e., bus, hotels, restaurants, etc.) were excellent. Travel time to and from were balanced and provided sufficient comfort stops. Excellent value for the money!
