“We met on the tour but got to know each other on the bus,” Linda recalls with a smile. “We started sitting across from each other as we enjoyed talking and laughing together. As it evolved, we started doing things together like the funicular ride in Bergen, then in off-tour times, seeing sights in the city like the Aquarium, and dinner at Olivia’s a few times. He was armed with Rick Steve’s guidebook and would find fun activities, including the place with the best Swedish meatballs in Stockholm.”
Their connection deepened as they explored the stunning landscapes and rich history of Scandinavia together. From the majestic fjords of Norway to the charming streets of Copenhagen and Stockholm, every moment was filled with laughter, shared experiences, and a growing bond between them.
“Exploring countries that were beautiful, and learning their history,” Mike reminisces about their favorite parts of the tour. “I’d definitely go back to Copenhagen or Stockholm. The ride on the Flam railway in Norway was amazing.”

As they look forward to their next adventure together – a journey through South Africa – Linda and Mike are filled with excitement and anticipation. “We’re planning on doing the South Africa trip together next year (and maybe more),” Linda reveals. “I had booked previously as a single (with a single supplement fee) but now look forward to avoiding that and going with someone who will keep me laughing and safe on a new adventure.”
