The land speed record was broken on Pendine's beach, and the town now boasts a brand new museum dedicated to the topic, appropriately named the Land of Speeds MUseum, which can be found on Pendine Promenade. Caldey Island and the beautiful monastery are just a short boat ride away, and other nearby sights include castles, more sandy beaches, secluded coves, and the lively seaside village of Tenby.
