Apartment fully renewed in 2011 with a modern and sophisticated decoration. Two large balconies with a fantastic view (almost 360º) of sea, beach, beautiful flower gardens, palm and pine trees, Ria do Alvor natural lagoon and the mountain view of Monchique. These views can be seen either from the 3 rooms or from the living room once the apartment is right in front of the beach at a walking distance less than 60 meters.
It has direct access to the beach and is located inside a condo with a private parking.
The apartment has three rooms with closets, two bathrooms, a very well equipped kitchen and a beautiful living room with a balcony with a splendid ocean view, where you can have your meals if you are desire.
It's very well furnished and equipped with all the necessary facilities. It has cable TV, Wi Fi and AC (on the suite only).
You also have access to the pool of the condominium (see the photos) located in the middle of the condominium gardens and along the beach.
For your convenience there is an excellent and well-stocked supermarket right aside the apartment.
The wonderful white sand Alvor beach, extending itself along the bay of Lagos for many kilometers and considered as one of the best of Portugal and also named among the 20 best of the world, offers great walking promenades. At the beach there are numerous and agreeable restaurants with a pleasant and informal atmosphere at very reasonable prices.
From Alvor's beach you can walk to the wonderful "Praia dos 3 Irmãos" a beautiful rocky beach with natural grottos.
Both beaches are classified with the Blue Flag.
On these beaches you can rent sunshades or use your own beach umbrella if you prefer.
If you like sports the beach of Alvor offers you several activities namely windsurfing, kitesurfing, kayaking, diving (dive and discover some old Portuguese navy ships), pedal boats, jet ski, etc.

At a walking distance from the apartment there is the typical fishing village of Alvor, very famous for its narrow streets with arabian architecture everywhere. There you can discover small handicraft shops, live music bars, pubs, excellent restaurants with fresh fish, banks, supermarkets, and a private hospital too.
On Sundays there is a very interesting market with organic products and also traditional local products, fresh fruits and vegetables, etc.
During the day you can observe the movement of fishermen in their colorful boats. If you are a fishing lover you can rent boat rides.
All this creates a cheerful atmosphere. As the village is located in the edge of the Ria do Alvor lagoon, there is a pleasant walking route with some kilometers of “decks" for pedestrians on a natural landscape.
In the surroundings there are several types of activities such as ten of the best Algarve's golf courses, auto racing track, aerodrome, restaurants, deluxe hotels, etc.
At a short distance there are two major cities, Portimão (4 kms) and Lagos (15 kms), both known for its splendid marinas (where you can rent yachts or motorboats for sightseeing, fishing or visit the beautiful grottos with transparent and crystal clear waters), beaches, shops and restaurants.
In Praia da Rocha (3 Kms) you can enjoy lively nightlife and also a casino.
Still very close (about 15 kms) the small city of Silves can also be visited with its Arabian origins, castle and museum. But if you intend simply relax or play golf this is the ideal place, bearing in mind the tranquility, the proximity of the beach and the surrounding infrastructures, as well.
Coming from Faro airport please take the highway A22 (known as Via do Infante) and leave it on the way out to Alvor (you will find it about 4 Kms after the way out to Portimão). Faro airport is about 60 Kms from Alvor.
If coming by car from Lisbon, at the end of the A2 highway turn right in the direction of Portimão, also following the A22 (Via do Infante) until you find the way out to Alvor.
