The village has two fantastic pubs serving home cooked meals and there are also direct train lines into Sheffield or Manchester. Walkers and cyclists can enjoy an abundance of walking and cycling routes to explore. The cottage itself has been finished to a very good standard and is the perfect place for a couple to stay.
There is a lovely garden area at the front with table and chairs from where you can see the river which is facing Cracken Edge. On entering the cottage, you are greeted by the open plan living area, which the owners have cleverly designed to feel spacious. There is a well-equipped kitchen, a great size TV with access to Sky, and comfy seating. On the first floor is the kingsize bedroom with its en-suite shower room with beautiful views of Cracken Edge.
Redmonds Retreat is quaint and highly desirable for walkers or people just looking for an easy countryside escape. You are not far away from Eccles Pike, Cracken Edge and South Head or for the non hill climbers there are the pretty Canal walks all on your door step or you can always take a train journey to Edale and walk back for a little adventure.
