Head 10.5 miles to Cerne Abbas to see the famous chalk giant on the hillside. Spend some time on the Jurassic Coast; enjoy the beach at West Bay, 22 miles away, or follow a section of the South West Coast Path.
Pull off your walking boots or wellies in the covered porch and step into the friendly cottage. Find yourselves in a cosy dining hall, where you can gather for meals, to play a game or chat over a cup of tea and slice of Dorset apple cake. Here you have the choice of two lovely king-size bedrooms, one with zip-and-link beds that can also be arranged as two singles if requested in advance. The family shower room is also upstairs and completes the interior.
Wander out into the garden on fine days.
