Een delightful holiday house situated in the summerhouse of the farm Welgelegen. The farmhouse is situated next to river 't Gein. The area is very suitable for walks and bike tours. The house is 500 meters away from the idyllic town Abcoude and very close to the train station. The train brings you in 20 minutes to the centre of Amsterdam which makes it possible to combine the business of the city with the welcoming space and peace of the country life.
The holiday house has an open kitchen with a big stove and oven and a big kitchen table. The living room is nice and spacy and has a beautiful lookout on the river and the green fields. The authentic staircase brings you upstairs where you can find a bathroom with shower and a separate bath and sink, a toilet and 3 bedrooms. One bedroom has a kingsize double bed, one has two single beds which can be connected and 1 room has a bunk bed. The double bed as well as the single beds are from high quality. Downstairs and upstairs have floor geothermal heating for the winters and a floor cooling system for the summer. All the window can be blinded.
On the back of the farm there is plenty of parking space. The signs 'parkeren bezoekers' show you where to park.

Our property is located in a quiet area, and we prioritize maintaining a peaceful environment for all our guests. There are other guests on the premises so we kindly request to respect the quiet hours and be considerate of your neighbors during your stay.
WARNING! Read our house rules before you book. We want to guarantee our guests a peaceful stay and therefore have a zero tolerance policy. In case of violation of the house rules, we will take immediate action without warning. By booking the property, you agree that in case of violation of the house rules, the landlord reserves the right to deny you access to the accommodation. There will be no refund and any extra costs for damage, extra cleaning, compensation to other guests, etc will be passed on.
HOUSE RULES
- No smoking, vaping or e-cigarettes in the house
- Possession or use of drugs in general and/or illegal substances is not permitted
- Silence between 22:00 and 08:00 since we have more guests on the farm
- Partying in/around the house is prohibited
- The number of guests specified when booking may not be exceeded without the host's permission.
- Please be careful with the key, if you lose it we have to charge you €30 to cover costs.
- Leave the house neat and tidy. At check out all dishes must be done or put in the dishwasher. The accommodation must be left free of rubbish upon departure.
- Report damage
- At check-out, the property must be vacated at the stated check-out time. We work with a professional cleaning company with a strict schedule. Cleaners who have to wait will charge a fee which will be passed on to the guest plus a late check out fee.
LOCATION
The farmhouse is situated just outside the small and very authentic village Abcoude. The beautiful surroundings are very unique considering the closeness to Amsterdam. You can go for a nice walk alongside the river towards the windmill. From the Holiday house you have a beautiful lookout over the green field were you see cows, sheep, ducks, swans and all kinds of birds. Its a 15 minute walk to get into the center of the village were you find two supermarkets, nice small shops and some restaurants.
If you want to go to Amsterdam I recommend you to take the train. Its a 15 minute walk to the train station and in 18 minutes you are at Amsterdam central station. There is a ticket machine at the station and you can check out train times at the app 9292.
Next to the Holiday house we have two more (smaller) guesthouses. So it’s possible to rent more space if you want. This also means that we ask you to consider the other guests especially when you are arriving late at night.
