Our historic, constantly renovated farmhouse is in a fantastic, absolutely quiet, secluded location in the Southern Bavarian Forest Nature Park at 700m with a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains. The seclusion, embedded in almost untouched nature, offers the best conditions for slowing down and long-lasting recovery from everyday stress. Due to the location in the middle of nature, forest dwellers sometimes sneak into the house unnoticed.
The property can be reached in a quarter of an hour's walk or with a four-wheel drive vehicle on a steep gravel road (experienced drivers can do it without a four-wheel drive).
The house offers a unique mix of centuries-old living and modern, but solid luxury:
Antique beds (2 double beds, a single bed, a bunk bed and a cot); Geothermal heat pumps with 100% green electricity supply supply the underfloor heating on the ground floor and, in addition to the solar thermal system, are also responsible for producing hot water. In the farmhouse parlor, a basic oven with a large lying area provides cozy warmth and a very cozy atmosphere. A state-of-the-art kitchen invites you to cook and if you run out of supplies you can reach a well-stocked shop in a twenty-minute walk uphill in the nearby village of Langfurth.
Drinking water is fresh from our own source and all wastewater is cleaned in our in-house organic plant wastewater treatment plant; Streams and a small pond invite you to play and linger on the property.
In winter, snowshoes and toboggan sleds are available, for which the approx. 800m long access is converted into the toboggan run in ideal conditions.
The nearby ski lift can be reached on foot by sporty people. Cross-country trails can be reached in 15 minutes by car.
In spring, summer and autumn there are wonderful opportunities for hiking and mountain biking. The famous Goldsteig leads past the property boundary. The bread jack bar is practically our local mountain.
