The Northwest Chalet in northern Kitsap County is secluded, but restaurants and attractions are easily accessible. Drive to the end of the road and find yourself located on the edge of the woods. A recent remodel of this northwest contemporary home amidst a forested setting provides a unique vacation experience. A custom kitchen provides all you need to cook up a storm. The main floor bathroom includes a deep soaking tub and heated tile floors. The master bath has been described as one of the most beautiful bathrooms ever! All beds are memory foam or natural latex foam.
This unique home is filled with artistic pieces from around the world. On the main floor is an open floor plan with newly remodeled kitchen, living room and dining room. Enjoy cooking in the fully stocked kitchen. Host supplies basics such as coffee, tea, salt, pepper, spices, pancake mix, flour, sugar and cooking oil.
Also on the main floor, you'll find two bedrooms and a full bath. The bathroom includes a deep soaking tub and heated tile floors. On the second floor is a loft space with TV and Netflix, single beds tucked under the eaves for the kids, and a very special master suite. Master includes a custom tiled shower with heated floors, king bed with memory foam mattress, and a sitting area with commanding territorial views and a peek-a-boo view of the Olympic mountains.
Basement apartment, accessible from interior stairs or separate outside entry, can sleep up to 5 people. A king bed is located behind sliding barn doors, with access to a single twin bed in the adjacent dressing room. The living room sofa folds out into a queen bed. A fully stocked second kitchen is available. One bathroom with shower serves the basement.
Out the back door is a 3,500-acre park: Port Gamble Heritage Park. The park has hundreds of miles of trails for hiking, horseback riding and mountain biking. Or rest under an umbrella on the deck or patio and enjoy the birds and other wildlife. Pick berries on the property, tour neighboring farms for fresh produce, hit up local wineries, cideries and breweries and enjoy coming home to a retreat setting. In the summer, fall asleep serenaded by Pacific chorus frogs and wake to the trills of native birds.
We are located on the Kitsap Peninsula, just a ferry ride from Edmonds or Seattle. Please note that there is a separate apartment in the basement of the house where the host resides. You may see the host outside, but no indoor spaces are shared. We are here for you if you have any questions!

Port Gamble: 10 minute drive to a historic mill town that includes well reviewed restaurants, 2 quaint museums, small shops and kayak rentals to access Kitsap's water trails.
Poulsbo: 15 minute drive to "Little Norway." This growing community has 3 breweries, restaurants of all flavors, a local bookstore, other specialty shops and a romantic shoreline boardwalk.
Bainbridge Island: 25 minute drive to the town of Winslow where you can find upscale shops and dining. Here you can access the Washington state ferry to downtown Seattle (a 35-minute crossing).
Olympic Peninsula: 45 minute drive to Port Townsend, a Victorian town that made a pitch to become the state's capitol. It's grandeur still shines. Enjoy a cider route on the way, including three local cideries. You can drive farther and access the Olympic National Park for hiking or simply take in the snow capped mountains from Hurricane Ridge.
