Positive: The IBIS Durlach hotel is exactly what to book if you are in the area and need a budget option to stay overnight. The rooms are compact but big enough for my boy and myself to rest after long days in Karlsruhe. It's not fancy, but as I have stayed there twice now, I knew what to expect and it was a good as I remember from the first visit.

Negative: The door code on the bedroom can be picky.. Have patience and you shall enter (eventually) :D At some point I think the hotel should consider an upgrade to digital and card entry options for the rooms.
