Name Bellevue (Beautiful View) by early French settlers the valley is consider the Northern gateway to the Ozarks Whatever outdoor adventure you desire is probably nearby! Hiking, mountain biking, four wheeling, horseback riding, fishing, boating and more can be found with a half hour drive. Johnson Shut ins State park is a natural water wonderland. Elephant Rocks State Park has wonderful hiking trails and there are many, many lakes and streams in the area.
