Lovingly restored rustic 1750's Acadian farmhouse sits atop a 10 acre property surrounded by 100's of acres of farmland ,with sweeping vistas of the Annapolis Valley and the Bay of Fundy. Property includes a 2000 sq ft post and beam barn ,with a separate kitchen,bath, stone fireplace ,gym,and a southern facing deck overlooking the 24' x 48' pool.
Located in Habitant,120 km from Halifax and the International Airport,15 km from the town of Wolfville,and 1 km from the village of Canning .
The main farmhouse is 2 story, and has 5 bedroom,2 bathrooms and easily sleeps 10.It has a fully equipped pine kitchen. There is a shaded front porch that has views of the Minas Basin and Wolfville in the distance,and a sheltered side deck that is a perfect place for your morning coffee.
Once a working farm,the adjacent "Barn" is 7 yr old post and beam 2 story building that was constructed on the footprint of the original. It has magnificent views of the surrounding country-side,a huge stone propane fireplace,kitchen,bathroom,gym and a large deck that offers stunning views of nearby Minas Basin.. A double pull out provides a lovely retreat for another couple.
There are numerous fruit trees remaining on the property and large mowed lawns are perfect for family games of soccer,football or bocce.There is also a propane BBQ,and an outdoor wood burning firepit for evening bonfires.
Linens,including towels,and wireless internet are provided. There is a TV with DVD player,but there is not cable television.
There are a multitude of activities nearbyKingsport beach is a 5 minute drive numerous hiking trails nearby (including well-known Cape Split and Blomindon Provincal Park);explore the shops and cafes in the university town of Wolfville;there are 8 vineyards in the vicinity,as well as theaters,friut u-picks and farmers markets.
