Summary: I’m not one for leaving many reviews because I travel all the time and have not made the time to post any comments, but I felt compelled to leave a review for the Glass Inn because this place is truly a hidden gem! This year I have traveled with my wife and my adult children to a number of the Hawaiian islands, Istanbul and other cities around Turkey, many cities in Mexico, and all over Thailand, and I have to say this place is one of the best experiences we have ever had. The resort is located at the base of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park which is an incredible experience by itself and its surroundings are just as scenic. The owners and staff are all amazing! Every morning, within minutes of either sitting in the restaurant area or the outside sitting area, we were greeted with a delicious breakfast that was made with the ingredients they just picked out of their gardens behind the eating area. Candidly, the food in their restaurant is better than we have had at countless restaurants we’ve eaten at in China - the food was outstanding! Finally, because they’re a little bit off of the beaten path, the owners provide free shuttle service in the Mercedes van where they will pick you up wherever the taxi drops you off and they ultimately became our personal drivers Honestly, I could go on and on about this place, but what we enjoyed most was the hospitality, warmth, friendliness and generosity of the owners and staff. It was just an incredible experience!
