The Mateu Family has been gladly hosting Barcelona visitors for more than 10 years. A classic architecture with high ceilings, decorative moldings and ceramic tile floors of the time: the world famous "rajola hidràulica", tile that gave fame to one of the most splendid period of architecture in this city. The Mateus completely renovated this flat, preserving its history, its beauty and adding comfort and services. Apartment located in Fort Pienc, to the right of "Eixample", between Sagrada Família and Arc del Triomf. A few minutes from Parc de la Ciutadella and Parc de les Glories; the new green area of Barcelona where "Torre Agbar" stands. Cal Mateu is also at a walk distance from all public transportation (Metro, Bus, Train) and not far from the harbor; where you can start a nice promenade southwards, going into Barceloneta, neighborhood with beaches and fun activities; or northwards to La Vila Olímpica, the neighborhood that hosted most of Barcelona'92 Olimpic Games Athletes. From the Mateu's apartment you can easily walk through little narrow streets crossing Ribera quarter, Gothic quarter, towards Santa Maria del Mar or la Catedral. A very pleasant, convenient and charming place to feel like a Barcelonian in Barcelona.
