Beautiful six-person holiday home, with rowing boat, on the water and on the edge of the unique De Weerribben National Park. Cast a fishing rod in the garden or discover, with the two canoes or the rowing boat at your disposal, the beauty of the beautiful nature of the Weerribben. This comfortably furnished holiday home is located directly on the water and you even have your own jetty. From your holiday home you can discover the beautiful natural surroundings by boat, on foot or by bike, or visit historic places nearby such as the historic town of Blokzijl, the famous village of Giethoorn or the beautiful shopping town of Steenwijk.
Layout
The modern furnished living room has a cozy wood stove, television (cable with on demand) with DVD player and various games and books. The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, four-burner stove, oven, filter coffee maker, Senseo, dishwasher, refrigerator and kettle. There is a freezer in the utility room. On the ground floor there is a bedroom with double bed 140x200 cm. There are two bathrooms, both with toilet and shower. The second bathroom is completely new and placed in March 2020. This spacious bathroom has a toilet, shower and beautiful sink. Upstairs you will find one bedroom with two 80x200cm single beds and another bedroom with two 90x200cm single beds. Both bedrooms have a washbasin. All beds have single duvets. Outside there is a lovely spacious garden with its own jetty, beautiful sheltered terrace and a shed with even four bicycles (two ladies' and two gentlemen's bikes).
Particularities
Business bookings are not allowed for this holiday home.
During your stay, with the exception of the winter months, you can use a rowing boat. There are also four bicycles at your disposal (if the rowing boat or one of the bicycles should break down, we cannot provide compensation).
The stairs to the first floor are steeper than the regular stairs.
During the summer months this accommodation can only be booked from Saturday to Saturday.
Setting off fireworks is not allowed.
Surroundings
Ossenzijl is characterised by the landscape of the Weerribben: a large variety of water, reed lands, hay meadows and swamp forests. In this area, you can spot many interesting animal species such as otters. The surrounding area has many unique (water) villages. Some examples are Blokzijl, Giethoorn, Oldemarkt and Kalenberg. We highly recommend exploring the area by boat! Visit Museum Giethoorn 't Olde Maat Uus, De Orchideeën Hoeve or Klimbos Avontuurlijk Paasloo for a wonderful outing. Would you rather spend a day shopping in a bigger city? Then head to nearby Meppel or Heereveen, where you will also find plenty of restaurants, cafés and terraces.
