The Motta Naluns ski area can be reached via Ftan in 5 minutes by car or via Scuol in 10 minutes by train. Ardez has a night-time cross-country ski trail, which can be reached in approx. 15 minutes on foot. The neighbouring village of Ftan also has the 8.5 km long Dario Cologna cross-country ski trail.In summer, the entire Lower Engadine is ideal for beautiful hikes, whether short or long. The hike from Ardez over a suspension bridge to Tarasp and then to Scuol or to Murtera d'Ardez, a film location in the Schellenursli film, is popular.
