The image shows the Great Sphinx and the Pyramid of Khafre under a clear blue sky. The Sphinx, a limestone statue with a lion's body and a human head, stands in front of the ancient pyramid, surrounded by ruins and desert terrain—a timeless scene anticipating your 2024 departures.

Our destination today: the wondrous Pyramids of Giza. Built during the Third and Fourth Dynasties, these monuments stand as testimony to the skill and strength of their builders. We'll get up close to study the Great Pyramid, as well as see the Pyramids of Khefren and Mycerinus in the distance. Nearby, we’ll gaze at the mythical Sphinx of Giza, which famously combines a reclining lion with the head of an Egyptian king. This tour has been magnificent! Our guide, Ahmed, was the best guide ever. His passion relating his knowledge of his country to us was very moving. It is very noticeable that he loves ❤️ what he does. He was very patience with me (I am disabled) making sure that I was safe at all times. He was a lot of fun and I was very happy to have had him as my guide in such a beautiful country. This trip was magnificent and Ahmed made it even more more beautiful!

Our trip to Egypt was excellent, in that we learned a great deal about Egypt and its history and people. Our guide, Nereem, was absolutely stellar. The experience has completely changed our view of ancient Egypt and provided a lot of excellent insight.

I do have one suggestion for the trip, however. Our guide wanted us to arrive early at various sites for the obvious reason that by doing so we would avoid the worst of the crowds of tourists. On one early morning we needed to arise at 2am to catch a 5am flight to Aswan. I seems to me that by adding a couple of days to the overall trip, we could have flown to Aswan the afternoon before and rising at 6am we would have accomplished the same thing without the physical stress of getting up at 2am on our second day in Egypt. Also, the hotels we stayed in were all absolutely terrific and having a bit more time in some of them would have been very welcome.

I would definitely recommend the Egypt trip (and have done so) to any of our friends.

Thank you,

Bob Harris

Our Tour Director, Tarek, was exceptional! He was such a source of knowledge about each of the sites, but he also knew the best restaurants and locations for anything that we requested. He also assisted us with negotiating fair prices with camel drivers and kept vendors at bay, when necessary.

Daily excursions were amazing and humbling-the pyramids at Giza, the Sphinx, temples and palaces, etc. Museums and antiquities hosted objects and statues that were beyond my expectations. Our bus driver was an ace in navigating the traffic in each of the cities.
