1. Find your perfect tour via our new website
If you haven’t checked out our new website yet, be sure to visit and explore its new features! We’ve tailored our site to make it easy for you to find your perfect tour. Some of these enhancements include:
- Better search functionality so you can look for specific dates and destinations
- A new “megamenu” and easier navigation on all pages
- Activity Levels that help you better understand how physical each tour is
- A blog offering tips, insight, and inspiration so you can make the best travel choices

2. Plan way ahead
Our advice is to book your trip around nine to ten months in advance, especially if you are booking with a group.
We suggest looking at dates further out for your next adventure because doing this has great benefits. One advantageous reason to book your trip early is to ensure you reserve your spot(s) before a tour sells out, especially on our most popular ones such as Splendors of Egypt, South African Highlights & Safari, Danube River Cruise, Jewels of the Adriatic, and others. You should also book in advance to get your spot on our newest tours—Journey Through Jordan, Amazon River Cruise with Machu Picchu, and Oman, Dubai & Abu Dhabi.
Planning as early as you can also gives you time to make payments how you like and prepare documents such as getting or updating your passport and obtaining a visa if necessary.
3. Confirm travels dates with everyone in your group
Traveling with friends, family, or loved ones? Take your time when securing a date with everyone going on the tour. It’s always helpful to meet in person or chat over the phone to discuss which dates work best. Bring up the available departure dates on our website and look over your calendars together. Be sure to point out major holidays and events to each other. Once you’ve nailed down the perfect time, put it down in writing for everyone.
4. Set up your smarTours account
If you don’t already have an account with us on our website, be sure to create one before you book. To set it up, simply hover your mouse over the “Login” button at the top of any site page and click the “Register” option. Then, follow the instructions to create your personal account.
Once you’re done registering, you’ll find a “Favorites” section in your account where you can add your desired tours. Save them here by clicking the “Add to favorites” button located in the header of each tour page. This makes it easy for you to find and reference your tour name and information.
Your account also contains the bookings you make. So, once you’ve reserved your spot on a tour, it will appear on your account in the “Upcoming Bookings” section.

5. Be prepared with all your information when booking over the phone
Finally ready to book? Great! Give us a call at the number found at the top of the page. If you are traveling with someone or a group of people, be sure to have their information ready for our booking agent. The information you should be prepared with includes:

– Names
– E-mails
– Addresses
– Rooming arrangement preferences
– If separate invoices are needed
