In this twist on the classic short story, Goldilocks, we share how our smarTours team found just the right size for our tours!
In a magical city with bright lights and skyscrapers, there is a little travel tour company called smarTours. Known as “the smarter way to see the world” they offer expertly crafted trips at affordable prices—which even include airfare and accommodations! Because they pride themselves on having incredible tours, they always look for ways to improve them.
One day, they decided to reach out to some world travelers to gather information on what they felt was the perfect tour size. Although they had an average of 23 passengers on a tour, they knew their maximum tour group size of 40 felt much too big. So, smarTours surveyed and surveyed travelers all across the land until at last they found themselves with a database of responses. With an open door to these many answers, they boldly went inside and looked around.
And what they discovered changed everything! Some travelers felt that a maximum of 20 passengers for a group tour is the comfortable size. But, a majority deemed a maximum of 30 feels just right.* Plus, when comparing solo to group travel, one smarTours traveler commented, “The warmth and security of a group is noticeable when it’s gone… [on tour] I made lasting friendships with fellow travelers and guides that I shared the wonderful journeys with. I can send a forgotten picture years later to them and we are both transported to that space and time as if it were yesterday.”
smarTours decided right then and there—40 was definitely much too big and 20 too small, but 30 was just the right size!
With this new tour size determined, the smarTours team was excited to get it implemented as fast as they could. So, they got a good night’s rest in beds that had just the right amount of comfort, fueled up in the morning with porridge that was just the right temperature, and got to work at their desks that had just the right chairs. And now, starting July 2019 and onward, their tours will have a maximum of 30 passengers—just the right size!
Now all that’s left is for you to discover where you want to go! Find your dream trip here.
